Your reality.

Okay, I'm a writer and my interest is in alternative forms of reality, like, dreams. I put myths and extraterrestrial experiences right there on my list with 'alternative forms'. True or not, it's interesting to me. These experiences, no matter how contrary to my daily reality, are not science fiction, they are real, albeit, often intangible. I don't know much about other's experiences with reality, but I know about mine, both waking, and dreaming. Each is grist for creating my stories.

One interest has been the 'what if'' scenario that tomorrow the world found out that everything we have been told about our history, our religions (and faith, of course), and our understanding of our cultures and societal norms, was proven lies, or at least a false 'reality'. What then? Where would you stand in the context of this revelation? You tell me.

I do not believe these testimonials at face value, there is enough of a skeptic in me to question ... everything. But, my question, as posed above, in other words: How would a revelation of this impact, say, as announced by the President of the United States and other leaders of governments and religions around the world ... proven as unavoidable fact, a lie ... change, not me, but, you?

I mean, if we cannot deal well with aliens from other countries, or people of different superficial characteristics of skin, size and religious/political belief, that is, 'different' from our own belief systems, is there any hope for us?
